Some Binghamton University students will be enjoying haute? cuisine with an international flare on campus.Chef Tommi Hedman from Finland is crossing borders and time zones to cook especially for BU students February 18th and 19th.
Chef Hedman?s visit has been organized by the university?s dining services partner, Sodexo as part of the Global Chef Program originated in 2003.
Hedman will be cooking traditional Finnish dishes at the Chenango Room during the lunch hours on the 18th. On the 19th, he will be at the Chenango Champlain Center to cook dinner for students.
The Sodexo Chef Program responds to feed-back from students and campus officials and brings dining to the students that meet the lifestyle needs of the diverse campus population. Varied menu choices have also been found to promote better nutrition and better health.
