With all the focus on Jarvis Jones' star-making performance against the Missouri Tigers last weekend, don't forget about Georgia Bulldogs linebacker Amarlo Herrera, says the Athens Banner-Herald.
The No. 7 Bulldogs host Florida Atlantic Saturday night in a tune-up before SEC play kicks back into gear. Herrera led Georgia with 10 tackles in last week's 41-20 win over Mizzou. He also broke up a pass and recovered a fumble. Herrera says that he has hopes to get even better.
"I was pretty happy, but I'm trying to get better each week, so that doesn't satisfy me," he said.
Herrera doesn't mind at all seeing Jones -- who was named SEC defensive player of the week -- being lauded for his game against Missouri, either.
"I want Jarvis to get all the attention because I want him to win the Heisman," Herrera said. "He's got a better chance to win the Heisman than me this year, so I want him to get all the glory and all the attention. But he knows what we did and he knows his play allowed me to make the tackles I made and allowed everybody else to do what they did."
Saturday's game against the Owls takes place at 7:30 p.m. and will be televised on CSS.
